About The Position

As a Production Coordinator, you play an important role in shaping article-based content to meet journal standards and deadlines. Your proactive communication with authors, editors, and third-party vendors keeps projects running smoothly and ensures everyone stays informed. By championing innovative solutions and recommending improvements to the production workflow, you help accelerate turnaround times, delivering a faster and more satisfying experience for authors. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in English, Humanities, or Science area of study is required.

Minimum of 1 year of experience with proofreading or copyediting content for publication is required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience providing coordination support to teams in a fast-paced publishing environment is required.
Demonstrated ability to uphold AAN’s values is required.
Strong collaboration capability both internal and external to the organization is required.
Knowledge of scholarly journal formats is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Strong organizational skills are required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and the Internet is required.

Nice To Haves

Skilled in navigating various personalities and working styles is preferred.
Experience coordinating with vendors in publishing industry is preferred.
Knowledge of AMA Manual of Style is preferred.
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is preferred.
