The Production Coordinator supports daily manufacturing operations through effective inventory management, purchasing/replenishment activities, and production workflow support. This role ensures materials, documentation, and system data are accurate and up to date to keep production running smoothly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and able to work independently.
  • No manufacturing experience required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming raw materials and finished goods; verify accuracy against packing slips and POs.
  • Maintain accurate physical inventory levels for all raw materials and finished goods.
  • Update and manage inventory within the ERP system.
  • Conduct monthly cycle counts and assist with inventory variance resolution.
  • Prepare, package, and schedule outgoing shipments.
  • Follow all export control processes and compliance requirements.
  • Generate closing documentation and customer invoicing for each shipment.
  • Ensure ERP inventory records are updated promptly and accurately.
  • Request quotes for raw materials based on established vendor relationships.
  • Prepare and execute approved purchase orders in alignment with production needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed to maintain adequate stock.
  • Maintain and update the approved vendor list.
  • Open new production jobs within the ERP system.
  • Close completed jobs and ensure accurate reporting of materials and labor.
  • Update or adjust job time, materials, and related entries as required for accuracy.
