What you'll do: Ensure that the line produces finished products that meet or exceeds established quality requirements. • Obtain a current product QA chart & set up sheet for the product being produced on your line • Monitor, record and adjust raw and cooked weights to meet product specs • Verify and record • materials required for the product being produced • Batter/Sauce temperature • Packing equipment settings, i.e., scales and checkweighers • Quality attributes on finished product and adjust process to ensure finished product meets specifications such as data codes, package and case seal and appearance • Correct problems discovered while performing the above. STOP the line if our quality standards are not met/+-Communicate findings to key personnel to correct any system problems, throughput or quality issues to ensure products produced meet established quality requirements • ½ hour overtime required to be able to communicate with off going shift • Make batter and perform batter adjustments as needed to keep process in control • Dump duster and cover breaks for batter person as needed • Perform LMH position as needed (i.e. breaks - including replacing film, etc.) • Maintain clean and sanitary hands, knife and equipment • Perform housekeeping throughout work area • Utilize Lockout/Tagout when tasks require • Perform additional duties as needed What you'll need: • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English • Demonstrates sound judgment in decision making. • Demonstrate proper use of Lockout/Tagout procedures as it applies to the equipment you are operating. • Ability to engage and collaborate positively with all levels and departments. • Understanding standards and measurements. • Math and computer skills. • Reliable and consistent attendance. • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (after a training period) - if required by your role • Lift up to 60 pounds • Stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours • Abide by company GMP and PPE policies Who we are: Since 1849, America has trusted the Gorton's Fisherman.
