ATI Millersburg is seeking a Production Controller to join our team in Albany, Oregon. This position is part of the Specialty Alloys and Components business unit and reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain. The Production Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials to and through our Aerospace Machine Shop and Powder Met divisions. This is a day shift position that requires on-site presence, with no option for remote work. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that manufacturing operations are efficient, cost-effective, and capable of meeting production targets while maintaining high quality and safety standards. The Production Controller will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that align with customer demands, ensuring that products are manufactured on time and within budget. This involves coordinating with various departments, including procurement, inventory, and production, to ensure that all necessary materials and resources are available when needed. The role also requires overseeing the production process to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards, identifying potential bottlenecks or delays, and implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions. In addition, the Production Controller will manage inventory levels to ensure that raw materials, components, and finished goods are available without causing excess inventory costs. This includes coordinating with the procurement team to reorder supplies as necessary and monitoring production costs to keep them within budget. The role involves analyzing production data to identify areas for efficiency improvements and cost reductions, ensuring that production output meets required quality standards, and implementing quality control measures in collaboration with the quality assurance team. Regular reporting on production performance metrics such as output, efficiency, downtime, and costs is also a key responsibility. The Production Controller will act as a liaison between different departments, ensuring alignment with production goals and communicating any changes in the production schedule to relevant stakeholders. Compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies is essential, and participation in initiatives to improve production processes, such as lean manufacturing or Six Sigma projects, is expected.
