Production Control Specialist

What You Will Do Drive metric-based improvements and present findings for the site and Sensors PC and Logistics leadership Generate traveler/work orders towards the induction of deliverable repair/fabrication units Create and release kits in SAP, and accept kitted material handed-off by Logistics personnel Physically move material and deliverable hardware between operation/production areas. Work closely with area supervisors, Quality Assurance inspectors, technicians, and operation area personnel towards the movement of product as well as for scheduling work between areas Utilize applicable Data Management systems for updating deliverable hardware status Generate completed hardware unit shipping requests and subsequent hand-offs with Logistics personnel for shipping Create demands in SAP that align with customer requirements and material lead times. Manage the data integrity/accuracy of site manufacturing execution system (MES).
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP or other equivalent supply software)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in application of production control, MRP principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
- Experience with inventory management, finite scheduling, just-in-time (JIT) concepts, and production scheduling.
- Experience in manufacturing environment – production, re-manufacturing, or refurbishment; ‘transition to production’ and/or production proposals.
- Experience with the creation, execution, and tracking of organizational projects and goals.
- Experience with MS Office (MS Excel).
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
