The Production Control Specialist is responsible for recording and reporting maintenance discrepancies, maintaining registers and status boards, and processing discrepancies in a timely manner. This role involves filling out and screening VIDS/MAF forms, assigning Job Control Numbers, completing maintenance data forms, and initiating work requests in accordance with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series and other applicable Navy and company instructions. The specialist will maintain the VIDS Board, verify it with AWP, ASD, and work centers, and resolve discrepancies. Key duties also include maintaining VIDS/MAF files, assigning logistics priorities for parts when authorized, and generating NALCOMIS and SESS Availability reports for management. The position requires validating and updating ex-rep listings, scheduling components and test equipment for maintenance, and collecting/submitting inputs for the Monthly Maintenance Plan. The specialist must ensure proper protection of Electronic Sensitive Devices (ESD), adhere to FOD prevention and Tool Control rules, and comply with safety, hazardous material, and environmental regulations. This role may involve performing duties of an AMSU Clerk or HAZMAT/HazWaste Custodian, assisting other employees, operating a forklift, and potentially being temporarily assigned to NAS Kingsville. The individual must be able to perform simple computer input and extraction functions and maintain appropriate records.
