Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The position will provide direct support to the production floor and report to the Production Control Manager. A successful candidate will operate within multiple shop floor controls and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) related systems to ensure alignment between material position and production requirements. This role will work closely with the factory operations team to ensure all factory and program execution goals are met. The role will own and utilize key performance metrics to maintain system integrity and drive a high level of performance designed to support the customer’s experience. This will be an onsite role.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or software.
  • Experience of the application and concepts of Production and Planning Control fundamentals
  • Ability to obtain Interim [Confidential] U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Special Program Access.
  • Material planning and order execution experience.
  • Experience with MS Office 360 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook/Teams)

Responsibilities

  • Provide production floor support including replacement part management, shop floor material staging, Work in Progress (WIP) movement through shared resource areas, completion of units in shop floor and MRP systems, and delivery to next step (inventory or shipment).
  • Evaluate all program requirements and coordinate with operations to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer needs.
  • Provide status for work in progress, material availability, and potential production hurdles to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
  • Work daily to confirm material supply and demand.
