At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of the New Shepard program. New Shepard is a reusable suborbital rocket system designed to take astronauts and research payloads past the Kármán line – the internationally recognized boundary of space. Through operational reusability, New Shepard supports our mission of lowering the cost of access to space. As part of a hardworking team of inventory specialists, technicians, and engineers you will administratively control all components installed and removed from the launch vehicles in New Shepard Maintenance and Launch Operations. In this role, you will ensure readiness of work execution by verifying Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy, identifying shortages, coordinating internal part transfers through production, and ensuring components with the proper pedigree are installed on New Shepard Launch Vehicles. Attention to detail is critical to succeeding in this role. You will also need to collaborate with cross-functional teams to problem solve and recover schedule when met with constraints. Specialists in this role are expected to regularly provide status to program leadership, identify and escalate schedule risks for timely resolution, and create action plans to push critical path hardware forward.
