About The Position

The Production Control Manager is responsible for overseeing production planning, scheduling, and workflow management to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery.  This role involves coordinating with multiple departments, monitoring production progress, and implementing process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience in production control within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production control, scheduling, or manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, scheduling methodologies, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite ( Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience in aerospace, metal finishing, or manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate between departments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee production schedules to meet customer deadlines and optimize workflow.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment of priorities.
  • Monitor work-in-progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain efficiency.
  • Ensure that availability of raw materials, tools, and equipment to prevent production delays.
  • Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
  • Manage and oversee job travelers, work orders, and production documentation for accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems for work orders, inventory levels, and production progress.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure proper material flow and inventory management.
  • Train and mentor production control team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts related to scheduling conflicts, resources shortages, or production inefficiencies.
  • Generate and present production reports to upper management with recommendations for process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
