We’re actively looking for a Production Control Manager at our Auburn, AL plant who wants to grow with us. This individual will lead all planning, scheduling, and material flow activities for our manufacturing plant. In addition, this role is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery, optimized inventory, efficient production execution from raw material planning through finished goods shipment, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate across Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, materials management, or manufacturing operations
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with Kanban systems, PFEP, and advanced scheduling tools.
  • Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel for reporting and analytics.
  • Strong Team Leadership experience
  • Effective communication to variety of levels, internal and external.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Oracle
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, Dynamics, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean manufacturing practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Production Planning & Scheduling Develop and manage the Production Schedule to meet customer demand.
  • Translate the schedules into detailed daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters (lead times, routings, BOMs) within the ERP/MRP system.
  • Participate and lead in S&OP to align forecast, capacity, and inventory targets.
  • Assist in buyers and planners in managing components or schedules needed Assist in budget planning
  • Materials & Inventory Management Oversee MRP execution, ensuring timely release of work orders and purchase requisitions.
  • Prevent shortages by ensuring material availability across all production lines.
  • Lead cycle counts, inventory accuracy initiatives, and root cause investigations.
  • Optimize inventory levels to improve inventory turns and support customer service.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership Lead daily production and materials alignment meetings to address constraints.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on ECNs, new product introductions, and production ramp-ups.
  • Work with Quality to manage controlled materials, quarantines, and rework planning.
  • Continuous Improvement Implement Lean tools such as Kanban, JIT, 6S, and value stream mapping.
  • Improve ERP/MRP data integrity, planning parameters, and scheduling accuracy.
  • Develop and publish KPI dashboards.
  • Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop a team of planners, schedulers, and materials analysts.
  • Create standard work, training, and development plans for PC team members.
