About The Position

The Production Control Clerk supports the Automotive Maintenance Section by compiling and recording production data, managing work schedules, and ensuring compliance with production standards. This role involves coordinating production metrics, maintaining inventory records, and preparing documentation to facilitate efficient operations across various functions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Three years of experience as a production control clerk or in a similar role.
Ability to work in challenging environmental conditions and handle physical demands.
Proficiency in using computers, calculators, and spreadsheets for data management.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating with team members.
Ability to identify and interpret part numbers, stock numbers, and inventory records.

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience in military vehicle dispatch and maintenance tracking.

Responsibilities

Compile and record production data from customer orders, work orders, and product specifications following prescribed procedures.
Calculate metrics such as production rates, materials usage, scrap amounts, and worker performance using software tools.
Export and format production reports from GCSS-Army and maintain detailed records for management use.
Prepare and distribute work schedules, production guides, and requisitions for materials and supplies.
Maintain and manage driving training, vehicle licensing records, and vehicle dispatch processes.
Handle Class IX parts returns and coordinate with DLA and LRC for proper documentation.
Use visual tools like charts and graphs to present production statistics.
Ensure proper key control and compliance with operational protocols.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Operate office machinery, forklifts, and productivity tools as needed.
Communicate effectively with mechanics to relay work requirements and schedules.
Work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and outdoor settings.
