Requirements

  • Requires a bachelors degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
  • This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reading and evaluating lists of parts required for production work and working with a production planning system
  • Prior experience interfacing, collaborating, and communicating with all levels of an organization, as well as with a large external customer base, to accomplish tasks.
  • Current DOD Security Clearance
  • Experience with SAP/PRISM
  • Experience with Government and Depot type processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to maintain a controlled flow of approved materials aligned with production and customer schedules.
  • Monitor and update the status of assemblies in progress, assess material availability, and identify potential production or Depot-related challenges impacting schedules.
  • Resolve production or Depot issues to ensure the availability of personnel, equipment, materials, and services.
  • Manage and analyze Bills of Materials (BOM) of moderate complexity within an MRP system.
  • Confirm material supply and demand; prepare necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory requirements.
  • Summarize inventory shortage impacts for assemblies and end items released to the production floor.
  • Provide weekly "can-build" and constraint reports during Line of Balance meetings.
  • Propose solutions to mitigate any work stoppage the factory teams may experience due to any slips in material orders.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering teams.
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
  • Interface with internal customers, including Value Stream Managers (VSMs), Value Stream Leads (VSLs), Manufacturing Engineers (MEs), Industrial Engineers (IEs), Quality Assurance, Work in Progress (WIP) managers, logistics, traffic, and DCMA representatives.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and a commitment to supporting the team by being available to work overtime when necessary.
