Production Control Analyst
About The Position
PLEASE NOTE: THIS WILL CLOSE AT 11:59 P.M. THE DAY PRIOR TO THE END DATE LISTED ON THIS JOB POSTING This is an anticipated vacancy. The NC Department of Revenue is in search of a Production Control Analyst. This position will report to the IT Operations Manager and provide operational support for the department's infrastructure. The role involves maintaining the z/OS (MVS) Mainframe and CA schedules, ensuring jobs are reset and running in the required sequence, and setting up and scheduling production jobs. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain and monitor the z/OS (MVS) Mainframe and CA schedules. • Set up and schedule production jobs on the z/OS (MVS) Mainframe and CA. • Read, understand, and edit JCL. • Interact with customers, technicians, analysts, and specialists to troubleshoot problems. • Identify trends through troubleshooting and recommend future resolutions. This position is eligible to telework full time after training. The schedule is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Occasional schedule adjustments are made as needed to support business needs. Requirements
- 3 years of experience working in z/OS mainframe using MVS Operating Systems, TSO, and JES2
- Experience using job scheduling tools
- Ability to read, understand and edit JCL
- Experience using CA Workload Control Center
- Experience using Zeke
