About The Position

The Production Control Administrator manages the flow of production by overseeing scheduling, inventory control, and material movement. This role ensures timely completion of orders while maintaining quality standards and optimizing production efficiency. The administrator analyzes production and supply chain data, coordinates with cross‑functional teams, and supports daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and achievement of production targets.

  • Experience with clerical and administrative procedures, including managing files and maintaining records.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow safety procedures, work instructions, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent) with training or certification in manufacturing or production planning.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production control role within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Update product locations in the ERP system.
  • Manage order material pick lists to ensure accurate and timely material availability.
  • Administer the Critical Stock on Hand program in collaboration with Production leadership.
  • Ensure the integrity of components from work order receipt through production and shipment.
  • Understand customer supply chains and troubleshoot issues to maintain consistent, timely supply.
  • Manage day‑to‑day inventory control and assist with capacity management.
  • Support inventory cycle counting, storage, and incoming receipts from suppliers.
  • Maintain Finished Goods FIFO for customer shipments.
  • Troubleshoot supply issues within the VDL ERP system.
  • Support daily safety practices in all production control areas.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and BMS requirements for departmental consistency.
  • Work closely with production, procurement, and inventory teams to align supply and demand.
  • Identify bottlenecks in production and assist in moving products efficiently through the process.
  • Coordinate new product handoffs to manufacturing.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production and supply chain data to improve planning and scheduling efficiency.
  • Identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities within production planning processes.
  • Support capacity planning by analyzing historical data and forecasting future demand.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across production planning systems.
  • Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform other administrative duties assigned to support production control and overall operational efficiency.
