AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Hanover, PA has an opening for a Production Chemist primarily responsible for the developing, producing, and customizing chemical solutions and reagents for the commercial water testing and treatment industry. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits. As an integral part of the operations, our production chemists play an integral role in our daily operations, providing technical and process oversight throughout the production lifecycle. The Production Chemist is a hands-on position that requires a balance of trade and industry knowledge combined with the following areas of critical focus and skills: Formulation Development to conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses necessary for quality and process control. Process Optimization to improve existing processes to enhance yield, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Collaboration is necessary to work along cross functioning teams such as sales, R&D, quality assurance, and production planning to formulate new and existing products. Documentation is a must with a focus on attention to detail, superior record keeping and compliance regulations. Safety to implement procedures that ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Production Chemist position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of an associate’s degree in chemistry or equivalent and at least three or more years’ work experience in or a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
