About The Position

As a Production Buyer, you will:
Proactive Inventory Management
Forecast & Replenish: Collaborate with the planning, orders, and production teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels to ensure parts are on hand when needed.
Maintain Safety Stock: Monitor levels to identify potential shortages or overstocks, ensuring the production line never stops.
Optimization: Partner on strategies to minimize inventory carrying costs and maximize turnover.
Strategic Cost Reduction
Negotiate & Consolidate: Work with Purchasing team to continuously seek opportunities to reduce procurement costs through negotiation, consolidation, and alternative sourcing.
Analyze Pricing: Review supplier pricing to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
Value Initiatives: Drive initiatives such as value engineering and supplier consolidation to improve the bottom line.
Quality Assurance
Global Collaboration: Work with global quality and sourcing teams to ensure all purchased parts meet strict quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years in procurement or supply chain management (manufacturing or technology industries preferred).
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and a high attention to detail under pressure.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment (specifically EV or electronics).
• Knowledge of EV charging technology and industry standards.
