About The Position

We are seeking Production Automation Engineers/Specialists to work out of our Richland, MS facility. As a member of the Operational Excellence team, the Production Robotics Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced robotic and automated control solutions for production technology. This role involves programming and integrating robotics into manufacturing processes, collaborating with systems architects, equipment vendors, and external partners, and driving the digital transformation of production through robotics and automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics, Computer/Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visual Basic is required.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in robotics and robotics programming languages preferred; Experience integrating robotics into manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple automation projects under tight deadline; Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills; Proactive, self-driven, team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience working with external partners, vendors, or integrators to develop and implement automated solutions is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement robotic and automated control solutions for production technology
  • Analyze production processes to identify opportunities for robotics integration and optimization
  • Collaborate with architects, vendors, and partners to deliver efficient robotics-driven automation solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean methodologies and digitalization focused on robotics integration
  • Program, configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot robotic automation systems and equipment
  • Train production staff on safe and effective use of robotic and automation systems
