About The Position

As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for performing various tasks in the manufacturing process of diagnostic products. Your role will involve ensuring that products are assembled, tested, and packaged in accordance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical and technical skills to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in using standard office software and production tracking systems.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, sometimes up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Good manual dexterity and vision to handle small components and perform precise work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred, especially in the life sciences or diagnostic products industry.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up materials from pallet, hand truck, and place items in/on work surfaces.
  • Clean packaging containers and equipment.
  • Fill and cap containers.
  • Check pallets and codes. Line, pad, create, and assemble cartons.
  • Wrap protective material around product.
  • Complete code and scale checks on displays, canisters and cases.
  • Weigh containers, adjust quantity, and perform weight checks.
  • Label containers, container tags or products.
  • Pack special arrangements or selections of product.
  • Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of the packaging process.
  • Assemble and test diagnostic products and components according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Operate machinery and equipment used in the production process.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and production schedules.
  • Inspect products for defects or irregularities during and after the manufacturing process.
  • Perform routine quality checks and maintain accurate records of inspection results.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor or quality control team.
  • Maintain detailed production logs and records, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Complete necessary documentation related to production and quality control.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and comply with regulatory requirements relevant to the diagnostic products industry.
  • Assist in routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment.
  • Ensure that work areas are kept clean and organized.
  • Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Participate in training and development programs as needed.
