While reporting to the supervisor, this position will be primarily responsible for performing packaging, housekeeping, and product/process inspection duties in a safe as well as efficient manner.

Requirements

  • You can perform work under minimal supervision
  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through high school education, General Education Development (GED), or through equivalent work experience
  • At least 1 year experience in manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Performs visual inspection of product & processes.
  • Cleans work area and machinery.
  • Packages and palletizes finished product
  • Operates forklift during routine performance of duties.
  • Performs paperwork and record keeping duties as required under the direction of management.
  • Communicates pertinent information to fellow employees as needed.
  • Performs or assists in maintaining production equipment as needed.
  • Assists with providing on the job training to employees as needed.
  • Responsible for replenishing supplies and materials for assigned area.
  • Relieves other employees for breaks as directed.
  • Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
  • Assures and maintains safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations.
  • Supports and follows guidelines pertaining to plant and customer specific food safety systems, food culture, and FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)
