About The Position

Job Summary:
The Production Associate will receive raw goods, manufacture, and occasionally package the Company’s
products.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and meet USDA standards for health and safety.
• Ability to remain alert and focused in an environment that is noisy and fast-paced.
• Ability to disassemble, clean and reassemble all equipment as part of the sanitation process.
• Ability to work effectively with kitchen staff.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent active listening skills.
• Basic knife skills.
• Proficient in taking directions.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Basic food knowledge.
• State motor vehicle operators permit for operation of forklift highly preferred.
• Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work in variable cold and hot environments and be comfortable working with meat.

Nice To Haves

• Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• State motor vehicle operators permit for operation of forklift highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a high level of customer service through extensive product knowledge of the brand.
• Spicing, brining, and netting large quantities of meat.
• Meat fabrication, mostly sorting and scaling out meat ratios.
• Clipping, hanging, and smoking fresh sausages.
• Packaging ready-to-eat products and building pallets.
• Tagging and hanging large quantities of salami.
• Maintains a variety of products while conforming to the production standard.
• Operates all meat equipment including meat wrapper.
• Handles damaged and spoiled products according to Company policy.
• Complies with safety policies and procedures; notifies manager of any potential hazard immediately.
• May perform other miscellaneous tasks assigned by managers necessary to provide products and services to customers during peak periods of business.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
