Warner Electric, part of Altra (AIMC), is seeking new team members for a Production Associate role in their manufacturing facility in Columbia City, IN. The company offers one-on-one training in a team assembly environment. Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with manufacturing assembly or similar processes
  • Preferred experience with measuring instruments such as micrometers and height gauges

Responsibilities

  • Willingness to work in production areas on various operations within assembly; such as cell manufacturing, basic CNC operation, washing, painting, robotics, and other duties as assigned
  • Selects, aligns, and secures tooling, accessories, and materials on machines, such as hydraulic presses, burnish/test machines, assembly fixtures, air or electric power tools and magnetizers
  • Performs standard work and uses process control methods, inputs appropriate settings, adjusts and calibrates equipment as needed to complete the manufacturing process
  • Perform quality checks on products and parts.
  • Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers and height gauges
  • Willingness to learn standard processes within manufacturing, changeovers and inspection and maintains applicable records
  • Communicates with other associates and departments as needed to deliver product to meet customer expectations
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance on tools and equipment
