About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient paint booth and reciprocator area to support daily production and ensure the quality of finished products. Assists with pulling and staging products to prepare for the next day’s paint schedule.

Requirements

  • Dependable with the ability to follow schedules and daily work assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all environmental and hazardous materials regulations.
  • Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Turn exhaust fans on and off as required.
  • Remove paint booth filters and place them on a buggy when disposable filters are used; vacuum filters when reusable filters are in use.
  • Install filters back into the paint booth.
  • Vacuum paint dust, clean booth pans, and place all paint scrapings in designated solid waste drums.
  • Apply a light film of oil to booth pans and remove excess oil as needed.
  • Sweep the entire paint department daily, including areas around the paint booth, hazardous material drums, and load conveyors.
  • Remove trash, waste cardboard, and scrap stretch wrap as needed; this position requires multiple trips throughout the shift.
  • Transport trash and used filters to designated dumpsters.
  • Clean paint booth glass windows.
  • Gather and palletize reject shutters daily.
  • Notify supervisor when unused cartons are scrapped to ensure proper inventory adjustments.
  • Pull products for the following day’s production schedule.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe manner, ensuring the safety of self and coworkers.
  • Comply with and actively support all environmental, health, safety, and OSHA programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
