The Fiberglass Winder reports to the Production Supervisor. This position focuses on winding fiberglass components correctly and efficiently.

Basic understanding of conventional measuring tools and techniques, to assure compliance with technical specifications.

High school degree or GED equivalent.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Production environment: dust and grease are common.
Significant risks from equipment and environment require constant care and vigilance.
Be able to stand for long periods of time and carry up to 30+ lbs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and hand tools to assemble parts and to reach with hands and arms.

Responsibilities

Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Follow Work Orders.
Wind fiberglass components (standard USTS and USTS Bucket) according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Perform light assembly tasks.
Wind Take Apart Fiberglass Sections according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Operate the fiberglass slitter according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Prepare fiberglass packets at the cutting station according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Responsible for meeting or exceeding all established quality standards.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
Operates machines of limited complexity to perform fiberglass winding.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other tasks as needed.
