About The Position

Dayton-Granger, Inc. is immediately hiring a Fiberglass Finishing Specialist to join our production team in Fort Lauderdale, FL . This is a full-time, direct hire role in a clean and structured aerospace manufacturing environment. You’ll work with fiberglass and composite parts , performing sanding, buffing, filling, and prepping for paint. If you have experience in auto body repair, composite finishing, or marine surface prep , this could be a great fit for you. We’re looking for candidates with hands-on experience using tools like air sanders and buffers , and strong attention to detail. You’ll play a key role in preparing high-performance aerospace components to meet the industry’s quality standards.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with fiberglass finishing, sanding, or surface preparation
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, and blueprints
  • Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs and performing physical tasks
  • Good vision, attention to detail, and steady hand-eye coordination
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic computer skills for job tracking and data entry
  • Ability to wear PPE and remain on feet for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in aerospace, marine, or automotive finishing environments is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Sand, buff, and prepare fiberglass and composite parts for painting and finishing
  • Apply fillers and compounds to smooth part surfaces
  • Perform masking, touch-ups, and polishing to ensure high-quality finishes
  • Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and specifications
  • Use hand and power tools, including air sanders and buffers
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety protocols
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
