About The Position

Join Lantech as a 1st Shift Crater in our CLIMATE CONTROLLED facility. We offer a 4-day work week with overtime opportunity, quarterly profitability bonuses , and TONS of opportunity for advancement. Our Craters START at $18.00/hr 1st Shift: Mon - Thu, 6am - 4:30 pm Who are We? Lantech is widely recognized as the world leader in stretch wrapping technology. Requirements

  • Is able to self-identify problems and support problem solving / solutions
  • Is detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality, safety and able to work effectively within the fast-paced environment.
  • Is willing and able to obtain Lantech forklift certification
  • Has sustained record of good attendance.
  • Has a high aptitude for working with situations of a manufacturing nature, effective use of time, and be capable of adapting to a varied work environment.
  • Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
  • Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Is able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
  • Is willing and able to work overtime to complete project and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
  • Is customer focused with a strong commitment to quality and production schedule.
  • Is legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous crating or shipping experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience driving a Forklift is a plus
  • Construction experience is a plus
  • Previous hand tools and power tools experience strongly preferred
  • Attention to detail

  • Hand-eye coordination

Responsibilities

  • Build the skids on which machines are shipped, working with various hand tools and power tools (including pneumatic impact and nail gun)
  • Prepare, package, and secure standard Lantech equipment and spare parts for shipment
  • Move parts and skids to designated locations using Forklift.
  • Load machines into trucks for shipment.
  • Check for visible damages on machine
  • Communicate with other areas to determine needs and necessary corrections
  • Prepare paperwork for machines (i.e., manuals)
  • Physical conditions for this role include walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
