About The Position

The Texas Rangers are seeking a Production Assistant to support Rangers Sports Network content creation and broadcast operations. This role is responsible for coordinating staff, facilities, and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production workflows. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to meeting tight deadlines while maintaining high production standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • minimum of two years of experience in project management or sports broadcast production
  • Strong ability to communicate technical issues clearly while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multitask effectively and work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as required for games and events.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Media Asset Management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on project requests from initial request through delivery and completion.
  • Schedule resources, facilities, and staff based on project requirements.
  • Organize and disseminate project information to assigned staff, ensuring that staff have all necessary resources and required information.
  • Support media asset management systems through ingesting and logging of media.
  • Support footage and music licensing compliance through music cue sheets of live broadcasts and digital content.
  • Fulfill content requests from internal and external team and network partners.
  • Create and maintain SOP and workflow documentation.
  • Provide multi-faceted support to content department productions and game broadcasts.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation through emerging technologies and creating operational efficiencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
