About The Position

The Production Assistant plays a vital role in our poultry and egg operations by
monitoring and tracking key production metrics, conducting health sampling, and
maintaining critical documentation. This position is essential for ensuring the
health of our birds, the quality of our egg production, and compliance with
industry standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow strict biosecurity and sampling protocols
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree in a related field
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience in egg production or agricultural industry
• Familiarity with AMES farm management software

Responsibilities

• Track daily bird counts, weights, and mortality rates across facilities
• Monitor egg counts, weights, and calculate egg laying rates Track feed consumption and identify potential overfeeding or underfeeding issues
• Conduct bird health sampling of saliva, blood, and excrement
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits
• Compile and analyze production data, preparing regular reports for management
• Ensure adherence to food safety, animal welfare standards, and biosecurity protocols
• Assist in identifying trends and anomalies in production metrics
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in production efficiency
• Other duties as assigned
