Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft package or related software
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma, desired
  • Two (2) years clerical experience in related area at Central or similar outside experience
  • Required to work a 40-hour workweek and be prompt and dependable
  • Must be able to work in noise of open plant environment
  • Must be able to work with oily, greasy, and dusty shop packets
  • Must be able sit, operate key board and view computer screen for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to accurately recognize and translate numbers and letters (without transposing)
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift boxes of shop paper (approximately 50 lbs.) when filing, and loading printer
  • Physical movement up and down stairs and through production facilities is required
  • Must be able to view printed and written materials for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to assemble and disassemble work order shop packets for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to listen and speak clearly over telephone

Responsibilities

  • Required to understand and follow all company policies and procedures
  • Sustain the 6S system throughout all production areas
  • Create, print, and assemble shop packets
  • Close manufacturing orders
  • Maintain manual log book for manual manufacturing orders
  • Reprint shop packets as necessary
  • Print blank issue and receipt tickets
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18801 certification requirements
  • Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor
  • Required to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Enter manufacturing orders into the MAPICS system
  • File Maintenance: make temporary changes to bill of materials and routings on shop packets as directed by the Engineering staff
  • File shop packets
  • Assign and check work of other clerks
  • Cancel manufacturing orders as directed
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
  • Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
