About The Position

The Production Assistant is available during any stage of pre-production to post-production to assist with all aspects of production. During video and photo shoots they are responsible for keeping the set organized, managing rental equipment, helping transport cast and crew, assisting camera operators, and caring for general needs on set. The Production Assistant also assists with administrative needs, such as handling paperwork, building call sheets, and helping with scheduling of crew or talent.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of production experience in agency, commercial, TV, or film production

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the production team on photo and video shoots in a variety of capacities including picking up Publix product from stores and delivering to set, loading and unloading equipment, picking up and returning props, wardrobe, or rental equipment, assisting with personnel, or helping crew with any aspect of production (camera, sound, lighting, etc.).
  • Ensuring all elements are ready for upcoming shoots including product, props, equipment, and any other needed resources.
  • Working with retail business units (RBUs) to coordinate products that are to be photographed for the weekly ad insert and the online product catalog.
  • Keeping all studio equipment—including cameras, lenses, lighting, props and sets—clean, organized, and maintained on a daily basis.
  • Assisting the Producers by building call sheets and shoot schedules.
  • Assisting the Technical Specialist, Production by filling out product request documents as needed.
  • Assisting the Photographers and Videographers with set preparation, adjustment, and breakdown.
  • Retrieving images for Creative teams, PMO, public relations, social media, and external customers as necessary.
