In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating production documentation, maintaining operational records, supporting compliance reporting, assisting with scheduling and work order tracking, as well as providing administrative support. Job Purpose: Assist water production technicians in building, maintaining, and repairing the mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems of all water facilities. Document activities using computerized maintenance management system and handwritten logs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Certifications/licenses to be completed within the first year of hire: Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Training
  • Certifications/licenses to be completed within two years of hire: State of Florida Class C Certified Water Plant Operator License Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Familiarity with all, but not limited to the following: Florida Department of Environmental Protection Regulators; Water production operations and maintenance manuals; Software Applications (i.e. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne [E1]); Equipment (i.e. pickup truck with lift gate, electric crane, fork lift, man lift, bobcat, standard hand and power tools, radio system); Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices, and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances, and laws
  • Ability to: Make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, rates, ratios and percentages; Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Assist Water Production Technicians with performing preventative and corrective maintenance on all types of water treatment plant equipment
  • Escort contractors while they are working at all water facilities.
  • Clean and paint all water treatment facilities
  • Accept, test, and record chemical deliveries
  • Record daily notes in plant log book on maintenance performed
  • Assist in ensuring the safety of all maintenance personnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned
