About The Position

The production assembler is responsible for assembling from sub-assembly to the finished unit according to drawings, carts, and manufacturing procedures. Your day-to-day work may include, but is not limited to: Performs electromechanical assemblies in the form of sub-assemblies and final assembly product under a microscope. Assemble ultra-miniature assemblies or be fully proficient in a specific product line. It operates standard shop equipment including soldering iron, microscope, ultrasonic cleaner, and furnaces. Reworks malfunctioning units. Communicates with the calibration department to ensure accurate assembly and proper operation of the units. Conduct ongoing cross-training to increase skills and knowledge. Weld miniature parts under a microscope for extended periods during the work shift. Flexible and capable of processing more complex assemblies with minimal oversight. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in electromechanical assembly, soldering under a microscope
  • Must be able to read and understand engineering assembly drawings.
  • Advanced schematic reading and ability to troubleshoot assemblies.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Good dexterity of hands and eyes.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Certified for J-STD C or IPC-610.
  • Must be a local candidate.
  • This position requires the use of information that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., 'green card holder'), political asylee, or refugee.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time and will not require sponsorship either now or in the future to obtain an employment visa.
