About The Position

We are seeking an manufacturing assembler to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the production of fiberglass/plastic components and assemblies, ensuring they meet high quality standards. The position requires a hands-on approach to operating machinery and tools, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. The successful candidate will have a solid background in industrial manufacturing and the ability to interpret technical drawings, work collaboratively, and maintain a safe, efficient working environment.

Requirements

  • Excellent command of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and effectively collaborate in a team-oriented production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail, with a track record of identifying and resolving material or product defects.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work and continuously improving processes.
  • Physically capable of performing hands-on manufacturing tasks, including lifting and moving materials (approximately 20–50 lbs), bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a fiberglass plant environment, which may involve working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work variable hours, including early mornings, late shifts, overtime, or weekends as necessary to meet production demands.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year experience in a manufacturing or industrial production role is preferred (experience in fiberglass or composite manufacturing is highly valued).
  • Familiarity with spray gun application in composite fabrication is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools, with the ability to quickly learn and master new equipment and fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery and hand tools to cut, shape, splice, and assemble fiberglass/plastic materials into components and finished assemblies according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately align and join parts (such as shell halves)
  • Install fittings, gauge plates, manways, and other hardware or accessories on fiberglass assemblies.
  • Performing operations using grinders, trimmers, rollers, and precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Make minor adjustments or repairs to components as needed to correct defects and achieve proper fit and function.
  • Document all quality checks and production steps on process sheets or logs accurately and promptly.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on tools and equipment to keep them in good working order.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times, promptly addressing any hazards or equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support overall production flow.
  • Assist in other manufacturing or assembly tasks and special projects as required to meet production goals and deadlines.
