About The Position

The Product Assembler/Operator in the Fluke Microcircuits Organization (FMO) is responsible for performing specialized assembly tasks related to the manufacturing of wire‑wound resistors, resistor networks, and hybrid electronic assemblies. Job Overview: FMO Product Assembler/Operators conduct both manual and machine‑assisted assembly processes to build and verify a variety of sub‑assemblies and components. These components are primarily supplied to internal customers who integrate them into high‑quality precision test instruments used across multiple industries.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English to follow oral and written instructions, including safety guidelines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with engineering and management when issues arise.
  • Ability to accurately distinguish and match colors.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong manual dexterity with the ability to perform fine, detailed work and inspections.
  • Reliable, consistent attendance.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently once trained.
  • Commitment to producing high‑quality components.
  • Proficiency using a Windows‑based PC, including web browsing, email, and basic Word and Excel functions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively toward shared goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks without becoming overwhelmed (e.g., operating multiple machines or processes within the cell).
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Work from prints, drawings, method sheets, diagrams, and other specifications while following established assembly procedures.
  • Set up and operate production equipment in support of production goals.
  • Prepare, process, wind, clean, assemble, calibrate, test, solder, and inspect various small assemblies.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data from production processes; apply basic mathematical and statistical methods to monitor productivity and quality.
  • Participate in Fortive Business System (FBS) activities and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
