About The Position
The primary function is to interpret sketch art, blueprints and/or customer specifications and prepare various art files to support manufacturing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 years in computer graphic design utilizing Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Production art and Flexographic knowledge
- Must be fluent in English
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables and standardized situations.
- Versatility: Proficiency with image editing, and drawing software, eye-hand coordination, communication skills, ability to work independently under tight deadlines
Responsibilities
- Receive art request and discuss with Art Director or Production Art Lead when necessary
- Convert customer supplied artwork into a quality production drawing using the best means possible for each job
- Once approved, prepare artwork in accordance with all current production art requirements.
- Accurately locate all art elements in proper position according to layout defined by Planning.
- Output artwork to RIP and create supporting manufacturing files in required manner.
- After final check, submit all finished production art files to peer Production Artist for approval.
- Maintain/clean computer and work area
- Follow ISO Quality System procedures
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
