RCS is looking for a detail-oriented technician responsible for Quality Control of computer systems shipping from our Ogallala, NE office. The individual will work as part of a manufacturing team taking orders from receipt through shipping. This role also includes some facilities work in and around the building.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and related work experience.
  • An understanding of Windows server and workstation operating systems to troubleshoot software issues and to properly install and configure internal software programs.
  • Technical knowledge of computer hardware to be able to troubleshoot hardware issues and to replace components within.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Operate a forklift for loading and unloading of palletized hardware and crates on trucks.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds comfortably and able to lift upwards of 100 pounds in a team lift.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other departments within the company as well as with companies outside RCS.
  • Needs to be detail oriented and able to multi-task, as well as adjust to changing priorities as situations arise.
  • Qualified candidate must possess problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
  • Please note: This position is on-site in Ogallala, NE. No remote work possible.
  • Working hours are 7 am to 4 pm MDT, Monday - Friday.

  • IT, SQL, and Networking knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Tests hardware for failures and ensures accuracy of software configuration of systems prior to shipment to customers.
  • Testing of potential new hardware for use within our environments and for conflicts with other sold products.
  • Document test results of such testing.
  • Responsible for ensuring data entry of orders following shipment of systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring that orders in the system that are approved for processing are printed and passed along to the team responsible for building said systems.
  • Responsible for being able to perform the build process for all systems, both to understand config control better but to also build systems.
  • Responsible for shipping systems which does includes international shipments and creation of required documents.
  • Track marketing promotional materials and perform shipments.
  • Tracking of trade show booths including both shipment and returns.
  • Review and tracking of expiring licenses to eliminate customer hardship.
  • Completes and maintains quality control documentation.
  • Responsible for assisting with building maintenance including but not limited to: Snow removal – (outside normal working hours required when necessary) Changing filters and maintaining furnace and A/C units.
