The position involves supporting customers with tailored ag-equipment solutions, leveraging knowledge of John Deere and competitive equipment, appraising trade-ins, leading equipment demonstrations, overseeing product delivery and operator training, building and maintaining long-term customer relationships, researching industry trends, monitoring competitors, and staying current on incentive programs and financing options. The role also involves developing innovative solutions to streamline processes and cultivate sales growth, with performance directly impacting business success and earning potential.

Requirements

  • Outgoing, proactive personality with strong goal-driven motivation
  • Knowledge of current agricultural practices
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and sit, stand, or squat for extended periods
  • Ability to safely operate, hook up, secure, and transport equipment
  • Willingness and ability to mentor less-experienced candidates
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build customer relationships
  • Proficiency with computerized tools and reports
  • Strong math skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends
  • Passing a pre-employment drug test
  • Passing a background check
  • Determination of insurability for positions that require driving

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business or an agriculture-related field
  • 3+ years of account management or direct sales experience in ag equipment or a related field
