The Fabrication Control Clerk will provide support in all areas of the Switchboard Team including, but not limited to, Fabrication demand loading, inventory counts, production order releasing and missing parts processing, with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton’s quality standards. Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position. Ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process. Perform quality checks as instructed. Create/Update MO Manufacturing Orders for fabrication item numbers and act on exception messages as instructed. Load fabrication production plan and PoU requests into machine software and act on exception messages as instructed. Locate fabricated material into rack / cart / GO locations. Perform inventory counts of fabricated material. As needed, provide backup support on related area activities. Complete inventory transactions and ensure accuracy. Receive and process material kitting orders in a timely manner to execute production schedules. Comply with all safety and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Own and lead 5S process and discipline for assigned work area. Perform Lean Initiatives by recommending suggestions for improvement related to quality, work processes, and environmental safety and health.
