About The Position

The Product Support Technician at MilliporeSigma in St. Louis,MO Cherokee site is seeking an Industrial Chemical Support Technician. In this role you will provide support for the manufacturing of biological buffers according to established protocols. Job duties include: Shift: Monday thru Friday: 6:00am – 2:30pm

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of safe chemical handling methods
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal, mechanical, and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in basic computer operations.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in life science field with experience in chemical/manufacturing handling
Industrial or lab experience
Familiarity with ISO quality standards.

Responsibilities

Responsible for moving, receiving, and transporting materials, supplies, and equipment in and out of the department, ensuring proper storage and maintaining adequate stock levels for availability.
Manage Manufacturing waste removal and requests waste transfers
Perform designated processing such as resin regeneration, analytical work, container filling, dryer unloading
Identify malfunctions when they exist. Utilize appropriate decision making to correct the malfunction.
Set up, prepare, and manufacture products according to current procedures, including configuring equipment for specific operations like unloading trucks, performing minor repairs and routine maintenance, and submitting work orders for necessary repairs.
Communicate status of tasks or operations by means such as labels, inventories, order requests or oral reports.
Maintain neat, legible, and current records of supplies or materials received, handled, etc.
Report deviations and any unusual situations to supervision
Comply with safety policies and quality systems
Adhere to established procedures and safety policies at all times to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Label all in-process equipment and containers properly
Follow policies and procedures to guarantee production groups and outside vendors receive information and materials conforming to their expectations in support of current quality systems
Routinely use all classes of chemicals
Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 80 lbs.
Wearing personal protective equipment including but not limited to; respirator, chemical resistant suit, gloves, goggles/glasses, etc.
Working outside in all weather conditions
Don, doff, use, and clean personal protective equipment appropriately
