About The Position

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work. NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military. As a Product Support Engineer, you will be using your skills to provide technical support and troubleshooting for our product and system prototypes. You'll be responsible for assessing our customer needs and determining the most appropriate technical solution for concept and prototype products and systems. You're technical responsibilities include product installation, testing, error/defect detection and correction, and coordinating the appropriate corrective action with engineers and operators. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Requirements

  • Currently serving as ACTIVE DUTY military and be eligible to participate in the DoD Skillbridge program
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, and typically 2 or more years of related experience
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of and some experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computers
  • Communication and customer interface skills
  • Understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systems
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study
  • Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics
  • Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors
  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
  • Experience with RF, vehicle installation and maintenance procedures
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military
  • Leadership experience in the military or civilian organization
