About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Product Success Manager who is passionate about solving complex customer problems in mission critical situations by increasing adoption of AV counter drone technologies. In this role, you will use your technical and sales experience to drive customer engagement with products that will help protect our nation’s most elite Special Operations teams, critical infrastructure, and most valuable organizations from increasing drone threats. To do this, we’ve assembled a group of world-class business/strategy, product design, technology, engineering, and machine learning professionals with deep knowledge and experience in counter drone solutions to work alongside you in tackling one of the country’s greatest emerging threats.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years experience as a self-starter who developed and executed against a territory sales plan by exceeding quarterly revenue targets
  • 8+ years of business development, leadership, and training experience
  • Passion for building, refining, and scaling a world-class customer success and training function
  • Direct field experience in working with large Defense, Aerospace, Military, or State & Local customers within the Public Sector
  • Experience leading competitive assessments and determining the strengths and weakness of your company’s technologies over competitors
  • Leadership skills to develop, organize, and execute business development activities, including assessment of win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish collaborative relationships with engineering teams and peers
  • Active Top Secret level security clearance
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • Must be able to travel within the Continental U.S. and internationally when required.
  • ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on AeroVironment’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with AeroVironment’s business requirements.   • Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage communication, coordination and execution of critical customer support, training, and customer-requested evaluations to deliver superior service
  • Actively market the AV Brand, establish customer requirements, set clear expectations, and shape opportunities by creating sales proposals, executing product demonstrations, and networking at conferences
  • Proactive coordination, execution, and reporting on logistics for business development events and customer purchases
  • Become an expert on counter drone technologies, competitors, and the evolving threat to help our customers stay ahead of adversaries
  • Willingness to travel for business needs on short notice
  • Other duties as assigned
