About The Position

In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam’s etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. The impact you’ll make You will be part of the Product Option Architecture (POA) team. POA is an organizational representation of current and future products and options that Lam Research sells to our customers. The Product Structure Engineering team is a component of the POA organization and is responsible for managing the connection between available options in the POA and the Bill of Material (BOM). This connection ensures the correct materials are driven through MRP to support customer‑selected configurations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or 6 years with a Master’s degree; or 3 years with a PhD; or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to successfully interact and coordinate across diverse functions and organizational levels, including technical and non-technical teams, managers, and individual contributors.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of BOM structures and the engineering change process.
  • Experience working with MRP systems.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency with Windows, the Microsoft 365 suite, Microsoft Teams, and email.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hardware configuration and product management.
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Experience with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the BOM supports all options available in the POA, requiring logical thinking to understand the relationships between POA options and BOM items.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (CFTs), including Product Managers, Project Managers, and Design Engineers, to determine additions or changes to available options and execute plans based on established milestones.
  • Review engineering change orders (ECOs) for accuracy, set effectivity dates, and implement changes in the POA system.
  • Ensure accuracy of modeling and programming against documented requests.
  • Collaborate with others to validate BOM accuracy across various configurations prior to options being released to customers.
  • Work with business partners to correct errors, including root cause investigation and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Initiate and participate in continuous improvement projects (CIPs) to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Provide training support to new business partners on the POA process, including roles and responsibilities.
