Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation
  • Experience must include 6 years of experience in the following:
  • Strategy and Management Consulting
  • Investment banking, including carrying out equity research to build pro forma income statements for companies
  • or Product management, including helping create business cases for product initiatives, with a focus on market and opportunity sizing
  • Leading corporate strategy and product strategy projects
  • Analytics and data modeling, including advanced proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint, and knowledge of SQL
  • Strategy, including providing sophisticated research and analysis on market trends and customer behaviors to help drive product roadmaps
  • Finance and financial analysis, including conducting analysis of potential M&A opportunities to size product synergies
  • Business operations, including interfacing with external clients, partners and industry figures to get a holistic understanding of needs and opportunities and working with cross-functional partners (e.g. Product, Data Science, Engineering, User Research, Marketing, Finance, Legal) to surface opportunities and threats, outline date-driven strategic decisions, and frame actionable product recommendations
  • Structuring and solving product problems
  • Competitive landscaping, including by using different datasets to uncover insights into the positioning of different companies in a given product space
  • Executive communications, presenting to leadership and influencing product decisions

Responsibilities

  • Work with product leaders and cross-functional teams to influence product strategy decisions aligned.
  • Provide research and analysis on market trends, customer behaviors, and opportunity sizing, to create data-driven business bases for product investment decisions, spanning build, buy, and partner choices.
  • Leverage data to uncover key insights in a given market or product space.
  • Support the ideation, business strategy, technical development, market assessment and launch of innovative Meta products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life.
  • Establish a shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution.
  • Identify long-term product marketing and business growth opportunities based on research, analysis and a strategic view of the market.
  • Effectively present and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to executives, product and business leaders, and cross-functional partners, in order to influence product roadmap decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as User Research, Analytics, Product Marketing, and Corporate Development to build insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Privacy, and Communications teams to ensure business cases and recommendations are robust, and that relevant considerations are incorporated.
