About The Position

Product Security Engineer (Associate or Experienced) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking Product Security Engineers to support the Commercial Modification capability and join our team in Long Beach, CA. The successful candidate will be joining the growing BT&E Product Security Engineering Capability supporting the cyber certification of Commercial Airplanes Modification. They will be joining a team of advanced Product Security Engineers from across Boeing Enterprise, collaboratively developing best practices, techniques and tools, while fostering a community that enhances our ability to deliver exceptional value to our customers. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Product Security Engineers. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Requirements

  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience in CyberSecurity

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience within the aerospace or avionics industry
  • Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, user manuals, process guidelines, or certification artifacts
  • Experience with developing security requirements impacting system design and security control integration
  • Leads the definition and identification of product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems for integration into complex Boeing products and services
  • Experience with flight deck avionics and/or aircraft communication/navigation systems
  • Experience with embedded systems at the item level (Software/Hardware)

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of cyber threat/risk assessment for avionics systems
  • Support the development of cyber security requirements for certification aligning industry standards such as DO-356, DO-326, etc.
  • Leverage software and/or systems engineering experiences through industry standard such DO-178, DO-254, ARP4254, etc.
  • Analyze systems and airplane design/architecture to provide recommendations for product improvements and risk mitigation
  • Following a change impact analysis and major/minor determination in accordance with scope, regulatory requirements, and Means/Method of Compliance (MOC)
