About The Position

The right candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of advanced maritime technology working within our Strategic Advantage team. Utilising your expertise in end user requirements with a deep understanding of maritime technologies, you will contribute to the development and management of the product portfolio. Subsea Craft is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in asymmetric maritime operations, and we're seeking individuals who share our passion for innovation and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or relevant field.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts to understand technical and geographical requirements for meeting customer needs.
  • Proven skill in turning technical details/intelligence requirements into clear narratives and feature definitions.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, product management, service design, or related roles.
  • Strong ability to create and update product roadmaps aligned with business goals, commercial considerations and engineering constraints.
  • Skilled facilitator of group discussions and planning sessions.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing environments.
  • Willing to travel overseas occasionally at short notice.
  • Able to obtain and maintain security clearances (at least SC).

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable working in unclear situations and with complex defence organisations.
  • Well-connected in defence communities, especially in SOF, scientific or intelligence networks.
  • Former defence analytical role or SOF background.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex technical information into clear and easy-to-understand narratives and CONOPs for communication to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to research and understand technical topics and processes.
  • Write and manage requirements sets for current and future products, ensuring alignment with customer needs and technical feasibility.
  • Work with subject matter experts and senior engineers to identify, prioritise and align product capabilities in advanced maritime technology.
  • Drive the development of a balanced product roadmap considering priorities, constraints, and growth objectives.
