We have an opportunity for a Product Quality Engineer to join our Chardon, Ohio team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • 2 or more years of experience
  • Good project management skills are essential.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of engineering calculation tools a plus (MathCad, Matlab and/or similar)
  • Ability to work within and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Detail oriented, have solid organizational skills, be capable of multi-tasking and have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well with a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to work with international teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of CAD programs including SolidWorks is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Product Development and Compliance: Work with R&D teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and meet all regulatory and certification requirements.
  • Quality Control and Testing: Develop test plans, conduct inspections, and perform routine testing on materials, components, and finished products to verify they meet specifications.
  • Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Investigate product complaints and manufacturing issues, identify root causes using structured techniques, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS): Maintain and update the Quality Management System, including procedures, documentation, and work instructions, with a focus on standards like ISO 9001.
  • Supplier Management: Evaluate potential suppliers, conduct quality audits, and collaborate with suppliers to improve overall quality performance and resolve non-conformance issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements and product quality initiatives by participating in Lean and other continuous improvement projects.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Analyze quality metrics, track performance, and prepare reports on quality issues, corrective actions, and overall product quality for management review.
