About The Position

The North America Product Portfolio Manager position requires strong organizational, planning, communication and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively across multiple functions. They will also have a product analytical mindset of constantly measuring success of the current products as well as assessing the efforts, risks and benefits associated with adding a new product to the business. The role will also facilitate make versus buy decisions for vertical integration in the region. This position reports directly to the North America Supply Chain Director and is a key interface to Finance, Engineering, Operations, Sales and Product Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor degree or equivalent in Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, Product Engineering, or Analytics.
  • Masters in Business (or similar) preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant job experience, including technical, ERP system experience and manufacturing industry knowledge.
  • SAP knowledge a plus.
  • Festo experience a strong plus.
  • Oral & written English communication skills; Spanish a plus.
  • Experience training staff and/or other system users.
  • Computer Literate, MS Office, Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (Pivot, Vlookup).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of automation technology.

Responsibilities

  • Examine large projects, trends in sales/usage, trends in inventory, and vertical integration alignment with manufacturing competencies to determine make versus buy decisions and/or safety stock/inventory recommendations.
  • Building roadmaps and checking the alignment of potential new products will be key to establishing the region product portfolio strategy.
  • Identifying key issues, developing hypotheses and methodology to verify or refute them and providing the appropriate solutions for confirmed issues.
  • High level of attention to detail, including the ability to assess, consolidate, format, analyze, and synthesize content and data related to the portfolio, programs, and projects.
  • Coordinates all make/buy decisions brought forward through various processes such as large order management, HQ initiatives, cost saving initiatives.
  • Prepare performance reports and present in monthly regular management meetings and/or represents department in local or international meetings.
  • Additional work hours in excess of normal business hours may be necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Travel may be required via any mode of transportation as determined by Company for business reasons.
