Join Caterpillar as a Product Service Engineer and play a critical role in supporting our Productivity Class Large Mining Trucks (785-793) and Command Dealer Solutions Network (DSN) . In this position, you will provide technical expertise, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver innovative service solutions that keep our customers’ and dealer operations running efficiently. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability and performance while ensuring compliance with Caterpillar’s quality standards. Requirements

  • Experience in product service or field engineering for heavy equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mining equipment or large off-highway trucks.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar systems and processes.
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the DSN for the Productivity Class (785-793) and Command LMT, determining the need or question from the dealer, working with the internal teams to answer the dealer, answering and collaborating with the dealer through DSN, and timely closing out the DSN.
  • Monitoring DSN indices and ensuring a high level of performance is being maintained.
  • Work with LMT Productivity Class Product Support, Command, and Field Assembly Team to report and resolve quality and reliability issues by collaborating with the Teams and researching data within DSN.
  • Research, collaborate, report, and resolve on product issues, PSIF/SIF, Elimination of Live Work (ELW), and Dealer Service Tooling specific to LMT as entered into the DSN.
  • Gathering input to identify potential new products or improvements to existing products.
  • Evaluating production processes to identify defects in manufacturing and design.
  • Provide input to designs modifications to maximize production efficiency and product quality.
  • Identifying and tracking quality defects, ensuring resolution in manufacturing.
  • Communicating technical specifications and instructions to ensure product quality and performance.
  • Tracking and managing the status of product issues.
  • Contribute to Productivity Class and Command LMT Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) projects by participating as a team resource in providing field data, developing publications, and supporting closure requirements.
