About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our dynamic product management team. The Product Owner will be responsible for defining detailed requirements, managing the product backlog, providing user guides, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives and user needs. This role serves as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, translating business requirements into actionable user stories and product features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • At least 5+ years’ experience as a Product Owner
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint or similar.
  • Experience with UI/UX design/ Wireframing tools such as Balsamiq, Figma or similar.
  • Familiarity with software development concepts and ability to engage with technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with M2M and/or IoT solutions desirable
  • 5+ years in electronic monitoring industry is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create functional requirements and UX/UI designs or mock-ups based on business needs.
  • Participate in and conduct peer reviews of functional requirements and other product related documentation.
  • Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog based on business value and user impact. Groom and refine backlog items to ensure development team readiness.
  • Write clear, detailed user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Manage scope changes and communicate impact to all internal teams.
  • Participate actively in all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives). Collaborate closely with development team to ensure sprint success.
  • Provide timely decisions and clarifications to remove development blockers. Review and accept completed work based on defined acceptance criteria
  • Serve as primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and decisions.
  • Deliver regular product updates to stakeholders and conduct feature demonstrations for all relevant audiences.
  • Create release notes for production deployments, and share them with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop user guides for new features or enhancements, maintain existing documentation, and share them with internal and external stakeholders.
