Huron’s Enterprise Solutions team is comprised of business-minded technology professionals responsible for the ongoing optimization of our portfolio through product strategy, solution delivery, and support. Our team partners closely with business stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities to drive efficiency and create real outcomes for our business. The Enterprise portfolio focuses primarily on Workday and includes integrations with various supporting and complementary solutions. The Product Owner – Workday Platform (US) will be the owner of the Workday platform, driving innovation and operational excellence, leading the exploration and implementation of emerging capabilities—including AI-powered features—to elevate user experience, streamline processes, and strengthen data integrity. This role will act as a cross-functional catalyst, champion intelligent automation, best practices, and fostering knowledge-sharing across teams to maximize platform impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, finance or relevant field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Workday platform features and configurations or related experience
  • Familiarity with Workday modules such as HCM, Finance, and Payroll.
  • Proficient in leveraging Generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support intelligent decision-making.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday training and/or certifications.
  • Familiarity with Workday report writing, calc fields, EIBs, and Integrations
  • Familiarity with audit processes and compliance requirements.
  • Practical experience within an Agile environment (SAFe, Scrum or Kanban)
  • Practical experience using and managing Azure DevOps, or other similar tool (e.g. JIRA, Confluence) is highly desired
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn Smartsheet dashboard management
  • Experience in the Professional Services industry

Responsibilities

  • Owning the Workday platform roadmap and serving as the primary point of contact for platform functionality, enhancements, and stability.
  • Collaborating with technical leadership to align platform enhancements with architectural standards and enterprise strategy.
  • Managing our multi-tenant environment, including requesting refreshes and refresh exemptions as needed and coordinating work across tenants to avoid overlaps
  • Leading bi-annual Workday release planning, coordination, and adoption across the enterprise, leveraging Smartsheet, with support from the Agile PMO Office
  • Monitoring Workday release notes and coordinating with stakeholders to evaluate and implement relevant updates.
  • Researching and implementing new Workday capabilities and features to enhance platform functionality and user experience.
  • Partner with stakeholders and teammates to assess, activate, and monitor newly available agents within the Agent System of Record, ensuring alignment with Workday platform requirements and ongoing effectiveness of agent functionality and ROI.
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies and planning activities to ensure visibility and alignment of platform initiatives.
  • Driving platform-wide innovation by enabling cross-functional teams to adopt and optimize advanced Workday capabilities—such as Worksheets, hubs, imbedded analytics, through strategic knowledge sharing and governance.
  • Assist with developing documentation for best practices across the Workday platform.
  • Serving as Workday Community Training coordinator –training coordination within Workday Community, managing course enrollments, budgets, and onboarding support through Success Paths and the Learning Center.
  • Leading tiger team responsible for monthly audit activities, including scheduling, documentation, and responding to audit inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with audit teams to ensure platform configurations and data meet compliance standards.
  • Supporting audit processes with timely responses and documentation aligned with enterprise policies.
  • Ensuring audit-related data is properly documented, retained, and accessible in accordance with compliance requirements.
  • Serve as onshore backup for rare, urgent integration issues occurring during U.S. business hours, providing initial triage and coordination with technical teams as needed.
  • Collaborating with integration specialists to ensure platform changes are compatible with downstream systems.
  • Serve as onshore backup for rare, urgent Workday security needs during U.S. business hours, providing oversight and coordination with relevant teams as necessary.
