Position Summary: The Product Owner II defines, prioritizes, and delivers, products that support business goals and customer needs. Serving as the key liaison between business stakeholders and Technology, this role owns the product vision, maintains a multi‑phase roadmap, and drives value through Agile practices. The PO II represents the voice of the customer, supports multiple scrum teams, leads organizational change efforts, and builds strong cross‑functional relationships. This role also contributes to the Product Owner Community of Practice and mentors developing team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical/business experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, or related technology delivery roles.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience participating in full Agile ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Proven success managing product backlogs and supporting multiple scrum teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to work across executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with organizational change management and training/adoption planning is preferred.
  • Experience with metrics-driven product management (OKRs, KPIs) and financial impact analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and maintain a roadmap that balances short‑term value with long‑term strategy.
  • Align and influence stakeholders, resolve conflicting priorities, and ensure clarity on business needs.
  • Own and maintain a prioritized backlog, translating needs into well‑defined user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure a steady flow of development‑ready work, stable delivery velocity, and support multiple scrum teams independently.
  • Participate fully in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate closely with developers, analysts, QA, architects, and other partners.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback and communicating product status, risks, and decisions transparently.
  • Define and track OKRs and KPIs, review product performance, and drive iterative improvements tied to business outcomes.
  • Lead UAT planning, test case development, and readiness activities to ensure high‑quality releases.
  • Drive organizational change management including training, communications, adoption support, and post‑launch feedback.
  • Mentor others, contribute to the Product Owner Community of Practice, and promote a culture of innovation and collaboration.
